Family's Introduction to Au Pair
About Us:
My wife and I are in our early 30s and have a 2.5yr old daughter. In the last 2 years, we've spent 3mo in Tokyo, 4mo in Montreal, 1yr in Hawaii, and 3mo in Seattle. Currently, we're in Nice, France, for the winter, after which we will go to Seoul, South Korea, for the spring. With all the traveling, we're looking for a long-term traveling nanny to assist with daily responsibilities and create a more stable environment for our child while exploring the world. Our current plan is to move every 3mo and only during warm months (we don't have winter clothing). Destinations after Nice and Seoul are likely to include Hawaii, Australia, Seattle, Iceland, Singapore, New Zealand, etc.
Role & Compensation:
- 6 hours/day, 7 days/week, $400/week allowance
- All expenses included - flights, visas, meals, accommodations (room), etc.
Responsibilities:
1. Childcare & Language Immersion: Spend ~3 hours/day interacting with our baby in French or Italian, providing language exposure and stability.
2. Household Assistance: Spend ~3 hours/day Cooking, light cleaning, laundry, grocery runs, simple errands, and basic administrative tasks (e.g. emails).
3. Relocation Support: During moving periods (every 3mo or so), the first two responsibilities will each be reduced by 1hr. This adjustment allows 2hrs to focus on researching and arranging short-term housing and transportation, packing/unpacking, and ensuring smooth check-in/out so the family can enjoy a stress-free moving day.
Ideal Candidate:
- Fluent French or Italian speaker
- Experience with childcare
- Organized, adaptable, and comfortable with frequent travel
- Valid passport and flexibility
- Ready to commit for a minimum of 2yrs
Join us for a unique chance to see the world, immerse yourself in diverse cultures, and become part of our family's ongoing journey.
PS: Should the nanny be interested and capable, the role could grow into a "personal assistant to CEO" position over time, with opportunities for significant salary increases ($200k/yr), professional development, and even paid education or courses to help them grow in their career. We work at the intersection of AI and real estate.
