Hi! My name is Brit and I am an American looking for work as a nanny/au pair.

Over the last 15 years, I have worked with children of all ages in the role of: a nanny, summer camp director, family photographer, dance instructor, preschool teacher’s assistant, substitute teacher, and after school clubs facilitator. I have supervised children from ages 3 months - 17 years. I absolutely love working with children as they always keep me present and teach me lessons everyday. I strongly believe in keeping a positive and compassionate environment for children to thrive in. I like to nurture their growth by creating opportunities for them to engage their head, hearts, and hands. I am familiar with Montessori and Waldorf philosophies and I do my best to implement some of the practices by having routine with the children, encouraging them to help with cooking/cleaning or other tasks, giving them options to make choices, and playing music/ setting a timer/singing songs when needing to transition. Also, I like to teach the children different calming rituals for when they're needing to regulate their nervous systems. As for disciplining/ educating, I do a blend of positive discipline, love & logic, and the nonviolent communication model.
