About me:
Born in Paris I grew up in Geneva, studied and worked there till 1992. Since then I lived in Spain.
Although I am 61, I am a fit and strong person. I like to be with animals, enjoy watching sunrise and sunset by the sea, on the top of the hills, everywhere! I feel good when helping people with my habilities. I like longs walks, trecking, swimming in the sea and streams or rivers, all kind of art crafts, the kitchen warmth, watching the flames in the chimney.
I am comfortable with single life but like to be warm at home when the weather is cold outside.
Good taking care of people, animals and plants, I have a lot of diferents habilites. Keeping a space in order and clean is easy to me as I enjoy the harmony I leave behind me when my job is done. I'm able to work on my own, responsible and reliable, silent and hard worker. I'm able to translate to French, English and Spanish but not as a professional just for help. I do not mind doing anything that my body and shape allow me to do if its purpose is for good. I like to be with children although it can be a bit difficult to understand each other if they're small children, any way it also can be fun.
I enjoy and prefere living in quiet surroundings but it's not a must. In my teens I've worked in a stable for one month and later I investigated and wrote about horse therapy at the end of my formation to get my diploma. I studied social worker in Geneva, worked with adults and small children with mental and physical impairment. I am quite good in finding my way in resolving things. I use to start the day quite early but would like to retire myself mostly at 20h30 although I'm open to babysit so parents can have evenings off.
I am not a very talking person maybe a bit shy at the first moments although I enjoy sharing with people.
I am looking for a place where my skills are valued and I'll be able to keep evolving.
My jobs:
Since September 2015 I've been caring for an old lady at her home as a live in carer in full charge of the house, running errands, housesitting, laundry and ironing. I'm now back to Spain and available for a new job.
From 2011 till 2015 I've time to time taken care of my mother at her home in Geneva, she suffered a stroke years ago that left her with little capacity in her left hand side. That means need to be bathed, help to put clothes on and out, prepare meals, help her to walk through the stairs and push her in the wheelchair so she can enjoy to be outside and shopping. I've taken a course on Alzheimer disease and had 1 month practice in a specialised home in Spain. Among that I can offer body Treatment that help to relax the body but also calm and are a warmth for the heart. I have compassion for the one who have to go through physical or mental problems and my duty is to do my best so that my caring is as much as possible coming from my heart.
One year gap spending time and caring for my mother at her home
2000-2014 I've been taking care of a house with 8000m2 for 15 years till it has been sold in August 2014. This job included caring for a medium size poney, one dog and one cat, all the housekeeping and land maintenance (trees, bushes and flowers) mostly by my own.
1996 on charge of a cleaners team for a holidays villas renting during 4 years.
1992 I moved to Spain and during almost one year I've been helping my friends with their veterinary clinic, that means cleaning dogs areas, feed and walk them, sometimes in the surgery room too. Then as an housekeeper in several private houses and 2 offices. I also lead some extra school activities during 2 seasons.
I've been working as a gobernante in an elderly home in Switzerland for 3 years.
My careers are bank employee and social worker. I worked for five years with mental disorder adults and children in specialised homes or flats and previously 3 year in banks, both in Geneva.
NOW:
After living almost 3years in UK+3 in Spain caring for an elder, both of them passed over.
I've moved back to Geneva the city I grew up and am very looking for a new opportunity to give my all.
I can work within a team but I'm also able and enjoy to work on my own. I have very good capacity to organize myself at work. I have some references (Spain and UK)and a CV available for you if you'd like to know a bit more about me and my skills.
