I am a certified Social Assistant and Bilingual Secretary (English/ Spanish), caring and involved granddaughter of my remaining pair of grandparents.
I have always enjoyed the company of wiser older people. As my deceased grandparents used to live next door, I spent a lot of time with them over the years and have many fond memories. During the last few years of my grandfather's life, I kept him company, checked in with him a few times daily, made sure that he took his pills, stayed hydrated, his nutrition was good, helped him with putting on his thrombose socks, accompanied him on walks, drove him into town, went on outings, to the doctor and other appointments, read the newspaper and talked about the weather and all sorts of things with him.
