We are a married couple with two great boys, 8 and 5 years old. We had a baby girl in November 2021. She is now 1,5.
We like to have fun in life, and surround ourselves with positive, encouraging and great people.
Mark is originally from New York. Marije (Mariah) is from The Netherlands and we’ve been together for 17 years; married for 10 years. We have a lot of friends ranging in ages from 25 to 50+ and we often have friends visit for drinks or dinner/etc.
Our oldest boy is well behaved and funny. Loves playing, being read to, drawing, tv and apple juice. He also loves going to the park, playgrounds and going to his new school.
Our younger boy is always laughing, sporty, cheeky and playing. He’s very adventurous.
Amelia, our 1,5 year old girl is very independent and cute. She loves adventure, and is starting to talk. We are blessed with three great kids!


Our current au pair’s contract ends in August 2023, so as of September 2023, we have begun looking for someone special to fill her spot.

We have a strong marriage and like to relax and watch tv after the kids are to sleep. We like to try to eat healthy and if you can cook, that would also be great.
Mark has his own business and Marije is home full-time with the kids.
We don’t smoke. We casually drink. We love to cook and Bbq and we love all types of food. We go to a fantastic, young church that is motivational and inspiring and have a lot of great friends who we love to spend time with.

We’re looking for someone to welcome into our lives to be part of our family. In the Netherlands, foreign au pairs can only get a visa for 12 months, FYI, and it cannot be extended.

This is therefore, a 12 month contract. The salary per month is set regulated by the Dutch government, which is c.340 euro per month but you have free accommodation, food, etc, etc.

Hi there!
We live a fun, but busy life. Having two boys (8 and 5) and a 1,5 year old little girl who was born on 5th November 2021, makes it even more fun - but crazy at times (in a good way though).
We need an experienced, intelligent, fun, honest and flexible nanny to assist with maintaining our home and helping out with the kids.

Mark often works from the office or at home and Marije looks after the family full time, so the ideal candidate would be someone who can become part of our little team.
Helping, mainly with our youngest Amelia, dressing, feeding, bathing and playing with her and being like a big sister to our boys.
Making breakfast in the mornings & cleaning up afterwards. Picking up after the kids, cooking occasional meals for the family and helping us in the evening with the cleaning up of the kitchen. We are both great cooks, so you would not be required to do all of the cooking, but if you can cook, that would be a great advantage.

We really love a clean and neat home but this is hard to maintain so we would look to you to assist daily in this respect as well, including laundry/ironing, etc.

We like to travel and depending on your nationality and visa requirements, we would invite you to travel with us on holidays to support and assist, and of course, to have some fun of your own as well.

Running occasional errands would be a positive as well. We have a Dutch bike, called ‘bakfiets’ that has a space in front for kids to sit and we use sometimes to transport them. So being able to cycle, is needed.

We are a very relaxed family and like to have fun in life. We are Christians and raise our children with Christian principles. We like to have friends over for bbq / dinners, etc and it would be great if you could assist in such events but would also be free to hang out with us and enjoy life.
Mark is American; and Marije (pronounced: Mariah), is Dutch. Our Boys speak Dutch and English fluently.
We moved in March 2020 from Amsterdam to our new home in Noordwijk, about 30 minutes from Amsterdam, and by the seaside to be close to the beaches, sand dunes and the many tulip fields blooming in the springtime.
We live in a beautiful and very large, modern home. That is part of a church!

There is a very nice and large bedroom with lots of natural light which would be your room (with your own bathroom/shower) with a big storage closet, a desk and TV and WiFi.
We will look to provide you with comfortable surroundings and time off for yourself and to be able to make new friends.

You’ll be welcome to participate in many events and activities that we do; we would see you as an extension to our family.
The one area we will not compromise on is in the care of our children. We want them around positive, honest, loving, smart and happy people and would expect you to be loving and disciplined with them, within our parenting guidelines.
