Dear candidate, We are a family of mum & dad with 2 children, who are currently 7, going on 8 (son) and 4 (daughter) years old. We love our children profoundly, but are also both dedicated to our work, running our own companies, with regular travel abroad. Though thankfully due to corona-changed business traditions, more can be done remotely and a lower frequency of travel is required than in the past. While we live in Monaco, we are originally from Northern Europe (Netherlands and Belgium) and we speak multiple languages in our family. Therefore, we are happy to welcome a nanny who speaks any of the languages English, French, Dutch and/or German. Ideally, you would live not too far away from us, as most of the time we would require several hours of help per day and not full days. Incidentally, it may happen that both my partner and I are traveling at the same time. If you would have the flexibility to stay with the children overnight on those (hopefully only rare) occasions, that would be great. However, we cannot offer a permanent live-in scenario at this time. We are a caring family, who find it important that the person who comes to help our family is happy working with us too – as relationships between people are reciprocal! Our kids are generally cheerful, affectionate, happy to please and everyone who has taken care of them in the past has been happy to do so. Languages spoken: English, Français, Deutsch, Nederlands. We are looking for a nanny to help us take care of our daughter of 4 and son of (nearly) 8 from September onwards. The working week will typically run from Monday through Thursday - with only occasionally and in prior agreement on Friday. Timing for taking care of the kids is usually from 16.00-19.00 or 20.00 hrs except every other Wednesday 12.00-20.00 hrs. The work comprises: - Picking up our daughter from school and our son from the bus-stop (both in walking distance); returning home and taking care of them (giving them an afternoon snack; playing with them – either indoor or outdoor near our home; helping my son with his homework), preparing a simple dinner for them. On days that I am away for travels you would also stay with them during dinner, bathe them and put them to bed. Cleaning up the kitchen and bathroom after the day’s use. (We have a cleaning lady for the structural household cleaning.) - On Wednesdays, you would pick up our daughter at the end of her school morning; prepare and have lunch with her, put her to bed for her afternoon nap, and take her out of bed again; play with her until pick up of our son from the bus-stop. Thereafter, the usual afternoon/evening routine starts. If you would like additional working hours, helping us to do the main groceries (once a week) and/or the laundry (sorting/running/folding, possibly ironing) is possible. If you like cooking, this can be included in the working hours as well, if desired. Salary would be actually worked hours at an agreed, fair hourly rate. Incidental availability to stay overnight is preferred, for when both my partner and I are traveling – even though we try to avoid this if we can. (Overnight stay rate would be agreed.) This would be in combination with taking care of the daily morning routine (6.15-8.15 hrs): - Preparing breakfast and the children’s school bags; waking up the children and helping them get ready for school, accompanying our son to the bus stop and our daughter to school.
