We are a warm international family living near Odense in Denmark, and we are looking for the right person to share a part of our family life with us. At home, it is me, my partner Anders, our two small children, and our cat Lisa.

We are both self-employed, so our days can be quite full, and that is why having the right help at home would make a real difference to us. More than simply finding “someone to help,” we would really like to welcome a person who is kind, grounded, open-minded, and naturally comfortable in a family environment.

Our home is lively, loving, and sometimes a little chaotic in the way family life with small children naturally is. Because of that, we are looking for someone who feels genuinely at ease around young children and does not become overwhelmed by big emotions, noise, or the ups and downs of daily life. Our oldest is a wonderful child with a strong temperament, so it is important to us to find someone who can be calm, confident, and warm, and who knows how to stay steady in more difficult moments, too.

The way we try to raise our children is based on respect. We believe in speaking clearly, setting kind but firm boundaries, and treating children with patience and dignity. We are not looking for someone strict or harsh, but for someone mature enough to be calm, reassuring, and sensible with young children.

Animals are also a real part of our family life, so this is something we care about a lot. Our cat Lisa has epilepsy, which means she needs medication every day, so we need a person who truly likes animals and feels comfortable caring for them in a hands-on way when needed. It is important to us that this comes naturally and with affection, not reluctance.

In everyday life, the support we need is mostly around the moments that are busiest for a family: the beginning of the day, and especially the late afternoon and evening when everyone is home again. We would love to find someone who understands that these are the moments when an extra calm and helpful presence means the most. We appreciate people who can notice what is needed, communicate openly, and be part of the natural rhythm of the home.

We also care a lot about the atmosphere in the house. We would like someone who enjoys being around family life and feels happy to blend in naturally, while of course also having their own private space and time to rest. For us, the nicest situation would be to share our home with someone who is both respectful and independent, but also warm, present, and willing to take part in the everyday life of the family.

Because we are an international family, it is important that daily communication in English feels easy and natural. We would also love our son to keep hearing and learning good English in a natural way. Italian is also very welcome in our home, since he already speaks it fluently.

We live in a peaceful area near Odense, in a cosy home, and we hope to find someone who would enjoy both the family atmosphere and the experience of living with an international family in Denmark.

We are a warm international family living near Odense, Denmark, looking for a kind, mature, and proactive live-in nanny/helper to become a positive part of our daily family life.

We have two small children, so childcare is the heart of this role. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around children, feels comfortable with young ages, and is naturally calm, observant, and helpful. It is very important for us to find a person who is not only good with children in the easy and sweet moments, but also in the more challenging ones, for example, when a child is tired, frustrated, has a tantrum, or shows a strong temperament. A bit of natural pedagogy, patience, and self-confidence is very important to us.

We try to follow a Montessori-inspired and respectful way of raising our children, based on clear communication, calm guidance, and firm but kind boundaries. We are looking for someone who feels comfortable with this approach and who can stay steady, respectful, and warm even in difficult moments. We do not accept shouting, physical punishment, or harsh behaviour toward children, so maturity, sensitivity, and good judgment are essential for us.

We are also a family that truly loves animals, so this is something that matters a lot to us. Our cat has epilepsy and needs medication morning and evening, so from time to time we may ask for help giving her a pill, feeding her, or simply paying attention to her well-being. Because of this, we are looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable with animals, enjoys caring for them, and is not afraid to touch or handle them when needed.

The help we need usually includes childcare, support during the busiest parts of the day, especially mornings and evenings, light housekeeping connected to everyday family life, helping keep shared spaces tidy, setting the table and helping after meals when needed, occasional simple cooking help, and small practical tasks such as watering plants or helping with the cat.

In general, we need around 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, with most of the important help needed early in the morning and in the late afternoon/evening, when the whole family is at home, and daily life is busiest. From time to time, we may also ask for some weekend help, but this would always be discussed clearly and balanced fairly in the schedule.

We are respectful of personal space and of the needs of the person living with us, but we are inviting someone into our home because we genuinely need support. We would love to welcome someone who enjoys a real family atmosphere and feels happy to blend naturally into daily home life. For us, the ideal person is not someone who only looks at the role as a list of tasks, but someone who appreciates a warm, communicative, and cooperative family environment.

We are an international family, so it is important for us to find someone who feels comfortable communicating in English in everyday family life, both for clear communication at home and because we would love our son to grow up hearing and learning good English naturally. Italian is also very welcome in our home, since our son already speaks it fluently.
