I know how precious a child is to a family and how important is to feel confidant that the person who will watch for them when you're not home is going to be as loving and caring as yourself. I have two girls of my own, who've made me confirm what Venezuelan poet Andrés Eloy Blanco meant when he wrote The infinite children: "When you have two children, you have every child of the world". It's true. Every child laughing makes your day, every child crying breaks your heart. It doesn't matter whether they're yours or not, you have to look out for them, make sure they're ok. I worked in a kindergarden for more than 20 years, I've received professional training and I've been instructed about their development, education, needs, attention and care. And I'm not going to be modest, I've been a good caregiver, I always have. Even before I had my girls, I learnt to love every child under my care simply because there's no other way to work with them. I like to let them be, let them explore, let them learn things on their own, with me making sure they don't get hurt. And don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean I spoil them.
