Hi, my name is Ma. Cristina, and I am 34 years old. I recently completed my caregiving course and on-the-job training at South Bacolod General Hospital and Saint Vincent Home, where I gained hands-on experience in providing care for both children and the elderly.
During my OJT at South Bacolod General Hospital, I assisted nurses and caregivers in monitoring patients' vital signs, helping with mobility, and ensuring their comfort. I also provided support with feeding, bathing, and dressing patients, ensuring they received proper hygiene and nutrition. Additionally, I learned how to handle medical equipment and maintain patient records.
At Saint Vincent Home, I cared for elderly residents, offering companionship, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring they took their medications on time. I also engaged them in recreational activities to promote their well-being and emotional health.
Beyond my training, I have over seven years of experience working as a nanny abroad, where I took care of children, assisted with daily routines, and helped with their education. This experience has taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of providing quality care.
