My name is Alexa and I am a 37 year old Malagasy governess with great experience, talent, tact and etiquette.
Soon after graduating from Antananarivo University, I began working as a governess in my native Madagascar and did that during three years, before eventually continuing abroad.
I am truly in love with my profession, as taking care of children and playing with them is actually in my nature, just like the air that I breathe!
I really enjoy playing, celebrating and conversing with children, but I also know how to help them with their homework without making it seem boring or too hard, for instance.
I treat them like my very own children, as that comes to me naturally and I listen to them with great attention, while focusing on showing them how to grow as individuals and how to aim for excellence.
I have been working abroad as a governess for the past 15 years.
I worked in Lebanon during eleven years with the three children of a Lebanese government minister whose wife was a world renowned dietician.
The family eventually moved to France, but we are still in contact up until this day, as consider each other to be relatives.
Eleven years is really a lifetime, and those children will always have a special place in my heart...
My employers were so impressed by my work, that they never really told me what to do; so I felt independent and even more motivated to do my work diligently.
The family insisted that I move with them to France, but my mother had just been hospitalized at the time, so I decided to rather go and spend time by her side.
Those were very hard and sad times for me.
I eventually accepted another job in Dubai, UAE.
I was the governess of three beautiful children, whose parents are celebrities.
One of the children is a wonderful litlle girl with special needs who has acute asthma.
I had to constantly and meticulously feed her, supervise her nebulizer sessions and give her different types of medications in order to help her breathe properly.
I used to drop the three children children at school before picking them up.
I did arts and crafts with the children and I also organized and supervised all of their other activities.
In the evenings, I helped them do their homework before reading them a bedtime story…
I am still attached to those children, in fact, I still have video chats with them on sometimes.
The parents eventually decided to move back to Canada and they also insisted that I come along.
This time, I agreed, but the procedure to get me the legal documents needed to live and work in Canada proved to be too lengthy.
I then moved to Kazakhstan where for the last two years, I had been lovingly taking care of the two amazing children of a very kind Canadian couple.
One of the children is autistic and his parents recently decided to move back to Canada.
Hence, I am now a governess looking for new children to love and nurture with devotion.
