I am an EMT from Los Angeles, California living in the center of Milano and I speak Italian fluently. I have lived between Italy and America for the past 9 years experiencing two different live-in au-pair jobs, five part-time babysitting jobs teaching English, and a six-year tutoring job with a family who had become my family. as well as many years of babysitting in California. I am now looking for a new, live-out, morning job in Milano seeing as I work afternoons.
I have a strong passion for children and find working with them to be both fun and rewarding. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to quickly develop rapport with the children in my care. I have a natural understanding of them which allows me to form a bond of friendship while at the same time guiding them with discipline. I am also energetic, organized, and encouraging. I am also CPR & First Aid certified and currently getting another degree online in Human and Child Development.
In my last job I taught english to the children in various manners; homework from school as well as teaching them to read and write in English, playing, and a lot of conversation in good manner are always encouraged.
My first position as an live-in Au-pair with a family with two boys aged fourteen and seven, and a girl aged twelve. My primary duty was to tutor the children in English: speaking, reading, and writing, as well as other studies. I developed a strong bond with the family and we still see each other when possible.
My second position was caring for a three year old girl. I cared for her while her parents were at work, prepared her meals, played with her, and taught her English through reading stories and playing games. One of the most fulfilling parts of this position was seeing how quickly this little girl learned, and how much English she began to speak during the time we spent together. I also continue to maintain a close relationship with this family.
