I am excited and ready to put your mind at ease while making your child happy and making a positive difference in your family's lives. I am experienced, caring, reliable and responsible. I have enjoyed being a nanny and babysitter for infant to twelve-year-old children. I love children and I am passionate about childcare. My responsibilities included all aspects of childcare including preparing meals, laundry, light housekeeping, shopping, errands, transportation, outings and homework. I also assisted with household management needs, pet care, party preparations and date night and work-related travel care. It has been enjoyable to care for a boy from 6 months to 3.5 years old and work for three other families since then. The families and I keep in touch, and I still provide date night care. It is a pleasure for me to plan fun adventures and enriching, engaging learning and play activities that spark creativity, imagination and exploration using books, games, cooking, arts and crafts and nature. I work to meet the needs and interests of the children.
As a former elementary school teacher certified for 35 years, I achieved Highly Qualified Teacher status. My experience includes teaching preschool, kindergarten and grades one through six. I was also a school librarian and taught Christian school.
I am cheerful, energetic, fun loving, young at heart and I have a good sense of humor. My strengths include being nurturing, patient, positive and creative. I have strong work ethics that include being flexible, proactive, job focused, hardworking and trustworthy. My experience helped me develop solid communication, organization and professional skills. I enjoy working closely with parents as a team member. I work to strengthen children's confidence, independence and boost self-esteem. I strive to encourage the excitement of learning, a love of reading, and being
kind, polite, helpful, respectful and caring. It is a pleasure to help make children feel loved, happy,
healthy, well cared for and safe.
I enjoy the beach, nature, reading, baking, arts &
crafts, playing ukulele and volunteering. I am CPR and First Aid certified and I don't smoke. I have a 2019
car and a perfect driving record. Pets are great!
