I nanny, house-sit, pet-sit, and can be a personal or family assistant.
My career as a nanny has extended beyond my being a mother and teacher, but I've also had the pleasure of babysitting for many of the families in which I have taught for. I think that I am ideal for single parents as well as busy families seeking some balance.
I will nurture your newborn or befriend your teen. I will spend quality one-on-one with your child, help with a puzzle,tend to a sick toddler, help out with homework, as well as handle groups of crazy kids for a pizza party on Friday night!I love it all!!!
My most recent work with children has been with (and loving it) a preschool teacher at a fabulous bi-lingual preschool here in North Carolina. I would prefer a cultural experience for myself for the summer months off from teaching. This has proven quite successful in the past. Open to options, locations and length of contract.
My education and experience with children has awarded me with countless memories that I am forever grateful. Many times I have smiled to myself, knowing that one brief moment with this child will never come to pass again, and savoring that moment.

My minor in college was Art, so I would incorporate ALL of the arts with the activities that I would structure into your childs' daily routine. Structure and consistency are very important for the self-esteem and well being of your child. However, upon occasion, it is important to let children, just be children.... looking at picture books under a tree on a sunny afternoon, blowing bubbles, or ´taking a shower´ outdoors with a garden hose and their bathing suits on. I would be happy to introduce English or Spanish to your children as well as any other multicultural activities as I feel this is an important element of growth.
Music and dancing ENCOURAGED!! Some quiet time is good too and children need tranquil reading and time to explore.
In case you haven´t already noticed, I am considered unconventional by most teacher and nanny standards, however, Miss Zaza will always lay down the law before the fun begins to ensure an atmosphere of learning and respect. This fosters independence without putting a damper on their creativity.
Another aspect that I feel is important, is to help the parents in becoming active in their childrens' daily lives. I feel it is my obligation to contribute in creating balance. Considering your busy work schedules, I've been know to, get the schedule to a soccer game, make regular well-check appointments, meeting Mom for lunch as a surprise, or texting Dad to the grab pink tu-tu for dance class. This is also why I believe that I would be ideal for a single parent. I can also be quite entertaining.
I have a close personal relationship with several awesome families I've worked for in the past as we still stay in touch and regularly spend holidays together. I enjoy the outdoors, yoga, painting, reading and writing-- all of the arts.

I take my profession as seriously as any corporate CEO. Coupled with my experience, education, and references, this is the reason my wage requirements are higher than average. You get what you pay for, and I think you'll agree that our children are the most important thing on the planet.
Simply put, Early Childhood Education is my livelihood and treat it as such, yet offer much more than the average nanny. This IS negotiable based on the cost of living in the city in which you live, living quarters, insurance, salary offered, hours, travel costs and other relative factors.
The previous families I have worked with, however, have been pleased with my services and comfortable with these requirements. I continue to have close, standing relationships with the majority these families.
