Introduction
Hello! I am a very active retired teacher who transitioned into an in-home private educator/nanny/household mgr career 8 years ago. I absolutely love what I do! It gives me the opportunity to help families care for and educate their children while also helping fill the needs of the family. I have an extensive background working with children of all ages -from birth to 18 years of age. I have worked as a teacher, camp director, nanny, household mgr, private tutor/educator, and small business owner. I have owned and operated several small businesses including a daycare/preschool, tutoring business, quick-serve restaurant franchisee, and art business owner/operator teaching pottery and fiber arts. As a business owner, I am organized, prompt, efficient, and have a strong business acumen. I am also proficient in household management. I have owned 8 homes, 6 of which I help build and design from the ground up. But perhaps my most important job/accomplishment has been as a mother to two amazing, now adult, children! I homeschooled them for several years and they went on to public high school where they were on the Presidential Honor Roll all 4 years and then both received full educational scholarships at the university level! I am interested at this time in travelling and moving abroad doing what I love :)
