I'm Calley and I'm very interested in being your Nanny*. How can I help you??? Thank you for reading my profile. I know nanny finding can be tough.... If you have any questions, do let me know; some things are negotiable. Full time or part time is fine, as is live in or live out. I chose "negotiable" in the salary box because I wanted to explain: This is my career. I am a very good nanny, so I expect to be paid for my skills and my experience. Some families want the experience but they do not want to pay for it. Also, salaries are different for live in and live out....Just think about it. Well, where to begin?? I'm the oldest of four children, so I grew up watching my siblings, cleaning, etc. I have nannied in Europe before (Norway 2003-04 and Switzerland 2011) and enjoyed it very much. I take expensive vitamins, so, I'm very healthy :) As well as friendly and dependable, I'm honest, smart, and calm. I am a very hard worker; I enjoy families with active lives (I have learned to be quite flexible if there is no set schedule), but, I do not get bored or tired easily. Some of my personal hobbies are reading, taking long walks, gardening, cooking, singing, writing, traveling. I do enjoy family outtings, gatherings, and projects. I have served food and wine at family parties and even helped build an electric fence (farmers!). But even if you just need some help with the daily grind, I'd like that as well :) I have infant experience (I love babies) and have cared for kids up to age 14. CPR certified. I have helped potty train 4 children, survived teething, toddling, and teenagers. From bee stings to the Heimlich, I've experienced quite a bit. Adapting to a new family system is easy for me since I have been a live-in nanny for 8 of the 10 years of my career. I love this job, and I get a kick out of working with kids, as I'm very patient and can laugh with the best of them. As strange as it may sound, I also enjoy doing laundry :) Crafts, stories, projects, book reports, you name it. I like teaching kids life skills and common sense (and English!). I believe that listening is a big part of teaching. I do require respect from children, and although I like to laugh and have fun, I cannot put up with too much nonsense, especially when it comes to their safety. I put my heart into each family I care for, and, try to find the right mix of professional and personal style. Communication is always important; If you trust and respect me, your kids will know it. Very willing to work extra hours for extra wages if a task presents itself.... as long as the compensation is realistic, fair, and I am treated well.
