Hello! We are a family of four: our son Marc turned nine in February and will be entering fourth grade, where as our daughter Anna has recently turned 6 and will be going into her first year of school in August. Marc is an active and fun child who enjoys sport and educational activities. Anna is compassionate, with a good sense of humour and benefits from someone who supports her confidence. Both children are very talkative and inquisitive about the world. In their afternoons at home they enjoy a mix of a quiet time, followed by different activities such as playing board games, having play dates, being creative and playing outside.
I work in HR and my partner is a surgeon. We are both Swiss but I grew up in South Africa and therefore we are a multi-cultural family who speak fluent English and German. Family values are important to us, as are good manners and structure. We do a lot of sports and enjoy spending time outdoors. We maintain a healthy lifestyle, which to us means that we eat predominantly a vegetarian, low sugar diet and are active. We are open, friendly and organised and believe that we work as a team, together with our nanny /housekeeper. We both work (80% and 100%) and are looking for someone to help care for our two children of school going age (6 year old daughter and 9 year old son) on Monday afternoons, as well as full-day Tuesday and Thursday. The job includes:
• Getting the children ready for school in the morning (start round 7:30); • Running some errands such as shopping etc. when the kids are at school; • completing housework while the kids are in school, including the children’s laundry; • Preparing vegetarian lunch and being with the children during their school lunch break; • Looking after the children at home in the afternoon if they are not at school, including being active with them and taking them by car to their activities (e.g. chess, ballet etc.); • Looking after the kids until we get home in the evening – usually between 18:15 and 19:00; • Preparing vegetarian dinner for the family twice a week
