Hello!
We are a well traveled, multi-cultural family with American, French and German nationalities and spoken languages. Fritz is an architect originally from Berlin, Germany. Alexandra is French-American environmentalist and filmmaker who grew up between California and Paris and has lived and traveled in many places around the world.
We live full time in our countryside home on the outskirts of a village about 20 minutes from Angers, in western France. This beautiful university city is consistently ranked as having one of the best qualities of life in the country. We are surrounded by the beauty of nature and also close to the culture and entertainment of the city. There are beautiful chateaus, vineyards, activities, and parks throughout the region, and the ocean is 90 minutes away. There are many things to do!
Paris is a quick 80 minutes by train from Angers and an easy trip for the weekend. Nantes is also a dynamic and cosmopolitan city and just 30 minutes by train.
We place a big emphasis on trying to get outside as much as possible. We love animals and nature and really want to instill that appreciation in the children. At home we have a dog, bunnies and chickens who are wonderful little companions.
Our big "home improvement" project for the next couple years is to transform our property into a wildlife refuge for pollinators, insects, birds, amphibians and the hedgehogs and other small mammals that make their home here. We will also be creating an organic vegetable garden and fruit orchards.
We are vegetarian and prefer healthy, organic cooking at home. We do not smoke and do not have a TV in the house (although sometimes we have movie nights with the kids).

We are looking for a nanny who loves children, animals and nature and enjoys living in the countryside. Our priority is to have help with the children, assisting me with homework and keeping some order in their routine. We also place a big emphasis on outdoor activities and finding fun activities to do together. We also need help with mealtimes and keeping our home tidy with some housework and laundry.
We are looking for someone who is willing to stay 12-24 months. Proficiency in French is preferred.
