Rebecca has had aupairs since birth and will need aupairs for the rest of her life. If our current timing doesn't work, then in 6-12 months it might. So, please keep in touch!

Previous aupairs will provide honest references and family life details. But they love Rebecca & us very much and are much tougher interviewers than we are!

We have a large house with pool, hot tub, and sauna in a very nice, safe neighborhood near the State Capital city (Sacramento). Aupair gets own master-suite with private bath and entrance, and we provide a car for personal use.

Aupair room was remodeled and is more like a private apartment than a bedroom (own bath, changing room, entrance, etc).
.
We require a mature aupair seeking a close family relationship - to become like our daughter. Those relationships have been the most rewarding for everyone.

Rebecca is her own person, but easy to be with. She needs full care, but is fairly easy going with caregivers.
.
REBECCA HAS A HEALTHY BROTHER AND SISTER (Eric and Melissa) who graduated college and have moved from home.

Rebecca loves art and painting! Would you like to help her?

Her paintings have been praised by Conservators, Gallery Directors and Art Professors who call her work a "new school" defined as "Post-Impressionist Essentialism", (of course, I have no idea what all that means! Maybe you can explain it all to me.)

Pre-Covid she loved to go shopping for clothes, to movies - of course she hasn't done these things for over 2 years now.

Rebecca likes to talk about boys and would swim every day if possible. She also loves anything wild and "out-of-control".
.
She likes to have books and girl's magazines read to her, because she can't hold the magazine/book to read herself.
.
She also loves to watch videos on your phone - but only while her movie is playing... go figure! So, you can watch your movies or play your games with her as long as she can watch your closely.
.
She is quadriplegic and cannot speak - BUT VERY HEALTHY.
.
Rebecca loves music and loves aupairs who also love music. She has been to concerts (like Matchbox 20 - the aupairs took her because it was sold out and Rebecca got them in because of her disability). They all had a blast!
.
She also loves to watch comedy shows like "Friends" and "Psych" but also likes some romantic comedy movies like "Top Gun", as well as ribald humorous movies like Hangover, Due Date, Central Intelligence, etc. She goes through different phases of interest.
.
We've had aupairs for 20 years and provide GREAT
REFERENCES!

We understand you are here to explore California and will help you do that! You should travel to LA, Hollywood, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Monterey, Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley and either Chicago or New York City (that's where most aupairs choose to visit).

We take our aupairs into our family and previous aupairs are like our daughters and keep in close contact and visit often. This includes quite a few "rescue" aupairs who came to live with us because they had really bad family experiences and needed a temporary home.

We truly look forward to meeting you and extending our family by one more "daughter"!

I help with moving Rebecca around, putting her into her wheelchair, feeding her, etc. until you feel confident and comfortable with her.
.

RELIGION:
We are faithful Christians but not religious.
We have had aupairs across the spectrum of agnostic to non-religious to spiritual, to Jewish, to Mormon to denominational to evangelical Christians.

All have been fine and we all got along.

Rebecca died at birth and remembers heaven like it's branded into her mind. Her opinions are unshakable.

We only judge the woman for her own character and are open to other perspectives. Such issues rarely come up.

PS I love movies and am writing a movie script, so if you love movies, we can have extra fun watching and discussing.

We are a generous and loving California family seeking a fun aupair to care for one beautiful, bright, charming, healthy, disabled girl. Rebecca has had aupairs her entire life so is used to meeting new people.
.
Requires dedication, FUN, honesty, creativity and a SENSE OF HUMOR. Must be Movie lover. Music lover a plus. Flexibility is helpful.
.
Duties include HAVING FUN!!!
WALKS, watching TV/MOVIES, reading magazines, feeding her lunch, snacks and dinner.
.
SWIMMING (holding her in the water while she kicks - summer only)
.
Getting her dressed in the morning, showers twice a week, and being a friend and companion to a fun-loving girl!
.
Rebecca is disabled, but brilliant (148 IQ), fun, loves to laugh, loves to swim, do art, watch TV, have adult level books read to her, listen to current music, watch aupairs play games on ipad or cell phone, reading Cosmo, Self, People magazines, and laughing so hard she can't catch her breath!

Every aupair quickly became comfortable with Rebecca and fell in love with her!

In this new pandemic world, I am writing film scripts and Rebecca's book. A woman with such interests and skills would really be great!
