Who we are: We’re Sarah and Jonathan, and we have a wonderful 3 year old son, Silas, and a 1 year old baby girl, Alma. Jonathan works full time, mostly from home, creating events for a public speaker. Sarah works part time as an Enneagram coach, also from home as well. We are a Waldorf/Steiner family. Because of this, our children lead a slower lifestyle than most children. They don’t have many scheduled activities, and they also do not watch any TV or movies or play with phones. Silas loves books and music and playing outside. He loves to roam around figuring out how things work. We are a pretty earthy family in that we love to hike and eat healthful, natural foods (organic and local as much as possible). We’re located on 10 acres of forest, and we are less than 10 minutes from downtown Asheville, North Carolina. It's an amazing place, both in the beauty of natural surroundings and for the relaxed-yet-cosmopolitan feel of the town.
What we're offering:
-An apartment: You would have a separate studio apartment with a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower that is attached to our home but is also separate and very private.
-Meals: We eat mainly organic, pastured meat and produce, mostly from local farms. And we make three intentional meals a day with love. We focus on a low inflammation diet, which means we're gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free and soy free (although we won't expect that of you -- you're free to eat as you need to for your body).
-Access to a vehicle is possible (for both work and personal use)
-Wages: We'd pay you every two weeks, but we can also arrange to pay you weekly if you'd prefer.
-Connection: We've often lived in community, and we find it very meaningful to share life with other kind and mindful people. We're cozy and fun and spacious, and we value deep conversations as well as personal space.

What we're looking for: We are looking for a live-in, full time, (or close to full-time) nanny, and we are willing to create a flexible schedule to accommodate for classes or other commitments - we want this to be a win-win arrangement. We need help with childcare, some errands, light cooking, and some basic household chores. Previous childcare experience with references is required. We treasure our little fella and baby girl, and we’re looking for someone who will as well. Our current nanny is moving on to other adventures in April, so we’re looking for someone to join us at the end of March or so. Ideally we’d love a 9-12 month commitment for continuity.
