My experience as a care giver has been providing health care to a patient with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (a degenerative process). Working day shifts, as well as night shifts, I accompanied appointments/physiotherapy/outings, preparing meals, feeding with a stomach peg, managing medication, establishing contacts with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that there were quantities enough of all the stocks necessary for health and well-being, working with various equipments (stomach peg, oxymeter, oxygen mask, cough assist machine), transfers, developing and applying motor and cognitive stimulation activities, logging the procedures of the day and hygiene (diapers, baths).
