Dear Family,
How are you? I hope everything are well.
My name is Paula, I’m 29 years Old from the Philippines I am writing this letter to properly introduce myself and tell you about my experiences. I was born and raised from a small town in the province of Antique here in the Philippines. I came from a simple Filipino family. I have 3 siblings 2 boys and 1 girl. I’m the 3rd child.
Now, I am living here in Cavite with my older brother. I’m currently working here in Manila I know being an Au pair is very different from my current job, but I assure you that I am responsible, kind, focus, trustworthy & Happy to be with. I like learning new things. I’m a type of person who love adventures and I can easily adapt with my new environment and get along with the people around me. I would be very grateful if you’ll give me chance to be part if your family, a chance to learn your cultures & language which is one of my greatest dream, in which I could be able to understand & speak your language & experience your cultures.
When I was young, I used to look after my nephew (6months old) because his mother went abroad (my mother’s sister). I experience at early age those so-called sleepless night because his crying & waking up early to play with him, with that I used to manage & balance my time to settle everything because at the same time I’m studying. Now my nephew is already 15yrs old taller than me, he’s currently studying on high school year. Moreover, Babysitting is really my thing, way back high school days, I used it as my part-time job in return of giving me allowance to support my school. However, I enjoyed it because I love the company of the children it makes the atmosphere alive and exciting though children sometimes are irritable. When dealing with children it requires a lot of patience, but nothing compare to see them growing as a better person and you become part of it. My favorite feeling when having a child around is that when you come home, tired from work and you see them smiling coming to you, its feels like heaven, all your tiredness will disappear, that would be my best feeling experience.
Since, this pandemic happen I got plenty of time to spend with my niece (since they are living with me) to play with her, look after her, putting her to sleep, taking a bath, cooking some food for her unlike before I have less time to play with her because I need to balance my time because of work, I need to manage everything, I need to prepare early because I need to travel atleast an hour just to get at work so time management is a must. I can play all day with her only during weekend which my day-off.
I do household chores also. I love maintaining cleanliness especially when kids are around, we all know that being messy is a thing when kids around, but I assure you that I am responsible & open minded to handle such thing. I believe that experience is the best lesson in life & it really help me to grow more as a better person. I am very excited to be part of your family. I can assure you that I’ll be a good au pair and I can do my duties and be a good role model as their big sister not by blood but by hearts.
