My name is Jessa May, and I’m from the Philippines. I have a degree in Bachelor in Elementary Education and am currently pursuing a double master's degree, one in Early Childhood Education and another in Special Education. I’m in the process of writing my thesis for Early Childhood Education. I’ve been a teacher for several years, with over five years of experience teaching elementary students and the last two years working with preschool children who are deaf and have multiple disabilities, such as ADHD and autism. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how to support children in their learning and personal growth with patience, understanding, and a lot of heart.

I want to become an Au Pair because I love working with children, and I’m passionate about learning different cultures and ways of life. Living with a host family offers a unique opportunity to experience everyday life in a new country, form meaningful relationships, and share my own culture in return. I’m also excited to be part of a child’s life in a more personal way like helping with their daily routines, supporting their development, and having fun together.

With my background in both general and special education, I bring a calm, caring, and flexible approach to childcare. I take pride in being dependable, respectful, and genuinely dedicated to creating a safe and happy environment for children. Whether through play, sign language, storytelling, or simply being a kind presence, I aim to build real connections with the children I care for.

In my free time, I enjoy visiting museums, listening to music, watching K-dramas, and learning languages and cultures. I speak Ilocano, Tagalog, and English fluently, have a conversational level of Korean, and I’m a beginner in Spanish. I also use American Sign Language (ASL), which has helped me connect with children who communicate in different ways.
