Hi, I am writing this letter to apply as your Nanny. I look forward to be your great helping hand, who is trustworthy and understanding of your family’s need. I hope you would welcome me as another new member of your family. My name is Khatreen and from the Philippines. I finished my study in Hotel and Restaurant Management, where learning centers on Cooking, Food, Beverages, Housekeeping and Services, the skills I gained which I am eager to use during my stay with my host family.
I would love to become your nanny because I will be of great help to your family since I had been an Aupair from Sweden since year 2021 until now here in Denmark with my excellent home skills,positive attitude and childcare experience.I finished my Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management and rendered my trainings at a hotel and at a resort for a total of 470 hours. I was assigned at Housekeeping, Food and Beverage – Banquet Service Dept and also at Customer Service Dept. I also attended more trainings and passed with National Certificates on Housekeeping, Commercial Cooking & Food and Beverages.
I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared that being like a big sister for your children comes along responsibilities for them, as well as being engaging, nurturing and to have fun with the kids. My experience, my calm and patient personality will help me handle situations like when the kids are tired, having tantrums or sick. I had the experience to take care of my niece and nephew since they were 6 months old and 3 years old. For 3 to 5 hours, three times a week, during week days, I took care of them and babysit the kids and i received some allowance in return. Some days I helped with bathing and dressing them up and later we watched nursery rhymes, do some drawings, colorings and playing legos. We had lots of fun playing hide and seek, more games and colorings and strolling outside within the subdivision. I also prepared snacks and meals for them. I make sure to teach them good manners, respect and love.
I also have experience as community officer and volunteer teacher for many years for children ages from 3 to 12 years old Some of these kids are out of school youth and belonging to distressed families. I handled events for them like feeding programs, organizing into groups for activities, singing, parlor games and classes for proper and good hygiene. The experience is very rewarding and fulfilling because we can contribute in helping the kids find joy and purpose in their lives despite the challenges they faced.
In the kitchen, i love cooking and also baking. I can be left alone in the kitchen to prepare things. I can follow recipes and I think I will learn quickly the menus from your country because i am already well trained professionally. I can cook meat, beef, pork or chicken, either marinated, sautéed, grilled or stew or casseroles. I can also cook pastas like Spaghetti, Macaroni and salads and bake chiffon cakes, pancakes and cookies.
I am also willing to take care of dog and cat pets. At home, we have dachshund and Japanese poodle dogs and also Siamese cat so i am very comfortable around pets.
I am a dependable, positive and open-minded person. I pride myself in getting the work done and being honest. I am self-motivated, disciplined and eager to learn. Living with me is quite easy as I am an adaptable person. I believe in respect and following rules. If something works quite not right as it should, I prefer for open communication.
In my spare time, I love to play badminton, goes strolling and sightseeing. Some days I just want to stay at home, have my own time, organizing things, some cleaning and experimenting cooking. I also love nature that is why, when I have the chance I do hiking and sightseeing.
I dream to visit another country to experience its culture, learn its language, experience its lifestyle and new sights. I am fascinated by marvelous places to see, travelling and the nice people to meet. I will be your great Nanny who will make your family life easy. I am sure that I will adapt to the new culture, tasks and daily routine quickly and become a big help to you around the house and also as a reliable family member who will love and respect your family.
