Dear Family,

My name is Gillian, and I am a caring, responsible and patient young woman from Kenya. I am very excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and to be part of a family where I can support children in their daily life while also learning about a new culture.

I have experience working with children through my teaching practice, where I assisted in classroom activities, supported learners with their studies, supervised children and helped maintain a safe and positive learning environment. This experience helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, responsibility and the ability to understand and respond to children’s different needs.

I enjoy working with children because I find it rewarding to help them learn, grow and feel confident. I would describe myself as calm, respectful, and adaptable. I am also willing to help with light household tasks related to the children, such as tidying, preparing simple meals and supporting daily routines.

Becoming an au pair is important to me because it will give me the opportunity to experience a new culture, improve my skills, and grow personally while contributing positively to a family’s daily life. I am open-minded, willing to learn and ready to adapt to a new environment and family routine.
