Hi! My name is Niamh I am 21 years old and come from Ireland. I am one of 7 children ranging from age 7 to age 23 , so as you can imagine I have had my fair share of experiences over the years. I have babysat my younger siblings for as long as I can remember as well as family friends and cousins etc. I am currently studying children studied in Nui Galway, Ireland. This course allows me to learn the child in depth through a range of modules covering medicine to psychology to storytelling. I am a keen baker and cook and therefore have great experience in preparing and serving hearty and wholesome meals for children which are both nutritious and delicious! I have also had previous work experience working in a creche which is linked to the university itself. This included roles catering to babies up to 7 years old. I have also had to carry out volunteering as part of my university course. This included storytelling in local schools and preparing workshops. I also carried out volunteering with a local autism partnership. I would love to become a nanny firstly to gain university credits as part of my third year. I am required to carry out a minimum of 10 weeks working with children or in a child based environment and feel like this type of work would fit the criteria perfectly as well as giving me amazing hands on experience. I am doing a placement in Valencia from January -may 2021. I will be looking for work whilst I am here which will fit into my working schedule weekly.
