My name is Netty. I am a 26 years old. Currently, I live in Depok, West Java, a city near from Jakarta (Indonesia capital city), although I am from Garut, small city in West Java. I come from a family of 9; my parents, Najoran (70 years old) and Aah (61 years old), 5 older sisters (36, 35, 34, 31, 29 years old) and 1 younger brother (25). I have some saving, so I plan to continue my study and pursuing my interest in baking and pastry or maybe in children pscychology but I am yet to make up where I should study. To this end, I think spending a year or more abroad would be particularly interesting and I can get more information about study that i plan to pursuing. My first language is Indonesia and I also good in English. I study English from school and by myself via internet. It’s not perfect, someties i can stiil wrong in grammar, but at least i can do daily conservationat why I interest to try Au Pair in your country, so I can improve my English, maybe learn another language and also know difference culture.
When it comes to child care experience, I have looked after children in informal contexts. I have helped look after a newborn, while his parent working since April 2021 until now. I was nevertheless much more involved in caring him in daily basis. I also worked as fulltime babysitter of 2 children (2 and 5 years old) from February to August 2020, because their parent who work in another city (Jambi), could not came to their home in Garut because of Corona Virus.
People around me describe me as a simple person, fun, independent, caring, patient, and open minded. Although, I prefer spending time with indoor activity (baking fresh bread, try cooking new menu that I read from internet, reading good book while drinking tea, and sometime doing crochet), but I also enjoy being outdoor for walk, riding bike and hiking. I also love to learn something new. I can play piano a little bit and singing (it’s not good, but i enjoy it). I like watching movies especially crime and psychology genre. For music, i like soft intrumental music, R&B, and pop. Because i am muslim, i eat halal food and don’t have any allergies.
A far as preferences are concerned, I am looking for live-in arrangement with a host family that would be happy to have me stay with and work for them for at least 6 months. While I had experience with newborn, I prefer looking after children aged between 6 months to 10 years. Lastly, although I am quite flexible, I would prefer to have working hours that would allow me to attend language class. I would be happy to have the opportunity to speak with you; to answer whatever questions you may have about me and my childcare experience; to learn more about your family; your interest and to know more about what you expect form the Au Pair arrangement.
