Hello, my name is Kathryn! I am currently living in Western North Carolina. Originally from Oregon I have lived all over the map but spending most of my time in the west. My friends and family like to say I move with the western winds. I graduated high school in 2017 and moved up north to the last frontier to start to pursue my degree in social work. After three years the coronavirus hit and life quickly shifted.
After working with kids my whole life and hearing so many people's wonderful experiences being an au pair sounded like a perfect fit for me. My most recent job was being a nanny in Western North Carolina. While living in Alaska I had the privilege to work at an after school program for kids 5 - 12 years old that came from low income families. For three years I bonded with kids and they really had an impact on my life and my career choice. I have also had the opportunity to spend summers being a camp counselor at a camp in western North Carolina helping kids explore the outdoors in a safe environment.
As an au pair, I would be willing to help out wherever is needed. I am comfortable doing all kinds of chores and tasks. Growing up in Wyoming taught me to be comfortable with all kinds small and large. I am a certified lifeguard with cpr and wilderness first aid training.
