Hi! I'm a 32 year old Michigan native looking to stay in-state. I've been working with kids for as long as I can remember, becoming an official mother's helper when I was about 8, and I started babysitting at age 12. I was a nanny for the same family for 9 years, and I still maintain an excellent relationship with the family. I was most recently with a family who have a 3mo son (and a young black lab!). Outdoor time, reading, and encouraging fun activities are important to me in all of the child care positions I have been in, including my time as a camp counselor and arts & crafts specialist. I have years of experience with children of all ages, from newborns to high school aged kids. I am currently a high school teacher. Although I don't have the certification, I have logged over 200 infant hours (helped my sister with her two children over the years, plus babysitting/nannying). Kids aren't our future, they're our present, and should be encouraged to grow in their interests, strengths, and likes, as well as having new experiences to shape them.
