I have always been surrounded by kids, especially because my family is very large and close. I was hired as a babysitter for one child for 2 years throughout high school and after continued with childcare at a professional level. I currently work as a manager for an after school care program for children ages 5-12. I’ve loved this experience and the connections I’ve made over the past 2 1/2 years. Growing up I enjoyed dancing, gymnastics, and soccer. Though I've outgrown most of these activities, dancing is still one of the many things I'm passionate about. It helps as an outlet for my energy and keeps me in shape as well. Writing has also helped me expand my interest and perspective of the world, language itself is something I'm extremely interested in. I've written for school newspapers and submitted to TeenInk where i received an Editors Choice Award. All of my interests are things I feel have shaped me and helped make the person I am today, and I hope I am given the opportunity to help shape the minds and memories of the people I'm surrounded by.
