I hired Radka less than three weeks ago with a verbal agreement that we will have a trial period of one month. I paid for her airfare from Marseilles to come and help me with taking care of my husband who has Alzheimers. In the first week already there were signs that things were not going well. She wouldnt listen to my instructions and refused to follow the established care plan and would not co-operate with me and the other two caregivers. I tried to explain several times thinking that the problem was a language one, as her English is very poor. I soon realized that the issue was not language but her unwillingness to follow our instructions. She would give my husband his pills at the wrong times, insisted on feeding him at inappropriate hours, take him out on walks during the hottest part of the day, putting on inappropriate footwear on him causing his heels to bleed, waking him up three times in the middle of the night to change him unnecessarily disturbing his sleeping pattern, and generally making him irritated and confused by insisting to do things he did not want to do. She would not follow instructions on housework either. She would show eagerness and work tirelessly, but much of what she did was wrong and had to be done again like hanging up the washing on the railings instead of on the clothes line and getting them all dirty needing to be washed again. Worse of all, she is headstrong and stubborn and wont take no for an answer, imposing herself and her ideas as to how best to run my own house. I gave her a few chances but to no avail. I finally told her to leave and we agreed for her to leave on this coming Sunday. But this morning, after she had once again interfered with my husbands care plan and getting him agitated from lack of sleep, I told her to leave today as I did not want her to be near him at all. I paid her for a full week, even though she only worked for me for two days this week and I ordered a taxi for her which I paid for to take her to a hotel which is paid up until Sunday the day we had agreed that she would leave and brought home another carer to take over the care for my husband. She refused to leave swearing in both English and her native tongue and after refusing to go in the taxi and the hotel she left only to return again in the evening demanding we let her in. I finally called the police who escorted her to the hotel. THIS WAS THE WORSE EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD. THIS WOMAN IS MENTALLY UNSTABLE AND NEEDS HELP.
