Family - Gary, TX, United States Dec 31, 2008    We searched for an Au Pair with an agency for several months without much success. The candidates that were sent to us did not fit well with our family. I finally tried the Great Au Pair website to supplement my search and within a couple of weeks I had my Au Pair. We were able to get in contact with our Au Pair very early and finalize our plans together more quickly than working with the agency although we used our agency to handle all the paperwork and processing. We are very happy with the Great Au Pair website. It has made our search very easy.

We've have been fortunate to have only great nannys and found them within a month of posting our ad. My recommendation to others is to be very clear regarding your priorities, hours, work load etc and you'll find what you need on this site. I also have my nanny interview the new nannys as I'm searching to help me find the best possible nanny for our family,

It has been quite a long journey but I was able to find my host family through GreatAuPair and I couldn't be happier. :) The family contacted me by email on Tuesday and on Sunday after the phone call we decided we are the perfect match. We are using an au pair agency. I strongly recommend to create your own profile at GreatAuPair, find your host family / au pair through this site and use an au pair agency to become a legal au pair in the US.
