| As an Au Pair, what are my costs to get a J-1 Visa? |
| The costs for an aupair to participate in the US Aupair Program are as follows:
- Aupair Training Fee of $400 to $500 (refundable upon completion of 1 year)
- Agency Interview Fee of up to $200 or less depending on country and local agent
- Insurance Fee of $100 to $300 depending on country and agency
- Airfare surcharge varies by departure city. In Most European countries there is no surcharge. In Australia, New Zealand or South America there may be a surcharge of up to $450 each way.
