Nanny job description

This position is ideal for a young person who wishes to explore NYC and its environs for a year or two after college. We are looking for a college student or graduate to care for our three children,(two boys 5 and 4 and a 1 year old baby girl). The person will assist with all facets of child care. There is minimal housekeeping involved, no shopping and some cooking. This person will be the children's primary care giver, but must be able to work as a team and take direction. Both boys are in school , so the primary function is to watch the baby, help the boys with homework, prepare and particapte with the children in enrichment activities and eventually jump start our girl's education. Looking for somebody who likes to travel. We travel as a family and want somebody who wishes to spend time in NYC with vacations to Naples, Florida and six weeks during the summer in Cape Cod, MA.

Family's Message to Nannies

We have tentatively hired a great, young woman to take care of our kids. Like our previous nanny, she is an independant contractor and is using this opportunity to come to NY to build a business. We have kept this site up, because we never know what the future holds. Please express your interest and we will contact you if the position again becomes available. Good luck with your search. The following is for informational purposes only: You will have use of a one bedroom garden apartment (which has a market value of $1000). The apartment includeds a washer and dryer. Vito is an actor/writer as well as a senior manager in law enforcement. Kim is a Senior VP in her own company. Vito's schedule varies; however, he is usually home during the day. Kim drives three hours to and from work each day. We love animals, science and nature. The boys have a menagerie including snakes, turtles, fish, a dog and even a Pot Bellied Pig!! We travel and you will be welcome to come with us, but would also have the opportunity to stay home on occasion. We have an extended family and the potential nanny will have to interact well with all family members: Vito's mom lives in the building and his brother is up the block. We also travel to visit Kim's mom and dad frequently and stay with them over the summer. The only "elder care" required is being able to tolerate old people! LOL.
