Au Pair job description

Hi there, we are looking for an adventerous young person to help us. We need help in the morning getting the kids ready, housework, collecting the kids and with the evening routine. YOu should be a non smoker, PREFERABLY a driver, & like animals. We need someone motivated, and capable of working independently and ideally have previous experience in childcare and housekeeping. We are a busy, but relaxed flexible family, and have had au pairs for some years, many of whom have returned to us, or come back as family friends. You will have quite a bit of free time in the day, as long as the housework is done. If you are organised and speedy, this wont take very long, and then until it is time to collect the children, your time is your own. There are lots of things to do and see in NZ if you wanted something else. We live iun a very beautiful part of NZ, and will try to ensure that you enjoy your time with us.

Hello there, Thanks for reading our details. We are an Irish family who moved to NZ 6 years ago. We are me the mum and 4 children aged 10, 9, 7 years and our lovely baby now 21 months old.. The older kids go to school in the day, and the baby attends Kindy. I work full time, I am a doctor, hence our need for some assistance. We live in a village, at the base of a mountain. It is very beutiful, as is NZ in general. There are loads of things to see and do, and you would not be bored if you came here. We are a very relaxed friendly family, and would do our best to ensure that you became part of our family. We like to spend our free time together as a family, sometimes just playing in the garden, or other times seeing NZ, going to the lovely hot pools, the coast, bush walks, and so on. I enjoy gardening in addition. The children also have their own activities including Girl guides, swimming, martial arts, soccer and golf this year. We will do or best to incorporate you into our little family and to make your stay with us a happy experience. NZ is one of the places on earth that everyone should visit. There is so much to see and do. The natural history is fantastic, with active volcanic sites withiin easy reach, beaches about 40 minutes away, city 25 minutes, mountain 6 minutes, skiing in winter for the energetic, and warm wood fires for the more sedate!!
