| Hello, my name is Martha. I am a born again Christian from Kenya, currently living in California. I have worked as a nanny and a personal assistant for about 5 years. In addition to that I have been babysitting for friends for more than 10 years, to give them an opportunity to run errands or for that dinner date night.
In one position, as a nanny, my responsibilities included taking care of 3 kids. I’d drop 2 of them and pick them up from school. Preparing meals, assisting with homework, taking them to the park and play ground. I also did house work, which included: cleaning the house and vacuuming, dishes, dusting, laundry and taking care of the pets too. In this position, I also ran errands for the parents.
In the other position, I took care of an infant starting from the age of 5 months. He is now 18 months old and I help out occasionally. While I was taking care of him, I’d play with him, take him to the park, prepare his meals and feed him and make sure he got his nap and I’d also help with his bath. I also did light housekeeping which included: laundry and doing dishes.
In addition to that I have over 10 years experience in the healthcare industry. I have worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in acute care hospitals, assisting nurses with patient care. I am currently in school studying Biology as an undergraduate degree. I hope to go to Medical school after that.
I am proficient in English, at a beginner level in French and currently learning to speak Spanish.
If you are looking for someone who can drive – I am a very good driver. I can drive both a manual (stick shift) and an automatic transmission car. I have a California Driver’s license and I also have an international driver’s license.
I am a very patient person, reliable, flexible, hard working, loving, energetic, compassionate and kind. I love kids, and enjoy the time I spend with them. To me it’s an opportunity to learn from them and for me to teach them and inspire them to be great people some day. I hope that you will consider me as your au pair/nanny.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you. |
