Au Pair's Message to Families

Hi My name is Abbey and I'm 24 years old. I graduated from college in 2006 with a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning majoring in Early Childhood Education and since graduation have been involved in working with children in a variety of different roles and settings. I have a warm, loving, positive and flexible personality and truly enjoying working with children. Since graduation I have worked as a preschool teacher in a variety of both short and long term relief teaching positions in both an infant and toddler and preschool setting . I have also been involved in running holiday day camps for school aged children for the past 5 years. Since graduation i have also been lucky enough to fit in a lot of travel and have travelled a lot throughout Europe and the USA I have previous overseas au pair experience as well and nannying experience here in New Zealand.. I currently work as a preschool teacher at a private preschool here in New Zealand. I teach in the nursery classroom with the 0-2 yr olds. In my spare time i enjoy reading, theatre, cooking, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
