Au Pair job description

Au pair needed to start in London, UK in November 2009 for British/Chilean family. You will be looking after 2 children, Mariana (girl 6) and Charlie (boy 4), live-in, full time, five days a week plus two nights babysitting, one of which will be a weekend. Average housework (tidying up, ironing). Daily routine will include getting the children up, breakfast, school drop off and collection (5 mins walk). Help with after school activities and bedtime. Light housework, ironing. You will have your own room with en-suite bathroom, TV, DVD, Hi-Fi and internet connection.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

Hi! We are Rossana and Simon from London, UK. We have two children: a girl called Mariana who is nearly 6 years old and a boy called Charlie who is 4. We live in a spacious family home in a lovely residential area of South West London with good transport connections into Central London (15 mins) and plenty of parks, shopping and recreation facilities within walking distance. Mariana and Charlie are happy, affectionate, sociable and indepedent children who are well behaved (most of the time!) and are highly responsive to fun, interesting activities. Mariana and Charlie are at school five minutes walk from our house. They go there every day from 9.00am until 3.30pm. The afternoons are normally busy with playgroups and friends. Simon is a TV producer and his hours can be long, sometimes not coming home until 9pm but he is normally around to see the children in the morning. He also does a lot of travelling for work. I work in Investment Banking which requires me to leave home very early in the morning but I work part-time and I am normally home by 3.00pm. We are looking for a young, responsible au-pair with initiative and good sense of fun. We are a Spanish-English bilingual family so a Spanish speaker would be ideal.
