Family's Message to Au Pairs

Hello everybody ! We are looking for a nice following girl to start in JANUARY 2009 ! Dear Au Pair, You are warmly welcome to live with us ! We are a nice and easy going german "bilingual" family of four. We have had lovely aupairs before and are looking for a lovely following aupair. We live in a lovely part of Leverkusen close to the river Rhine, which is a small town located halfway between the big cities Cologne and Duesseldorf. Leverkusen downtown is 5 km away and easy to reach by bus or bike and there are easy train connections to the cities. We have a lovely countryside around with the river on one side and a little lake and recreation area only a few minutes by bike on the other side of town. We are used to having young people around us. We had lovely aupair girls these past years and getting along with so well we decided that we are into having following aupairs ! We are looking for someone to join us preferably from early 2009. I am a stay-at-home mum currently NOT working (used to be preschoolteacher and have worked with social services). I have been an au pair myself and have worked as a aupair professional in the US a few years ago. My husband Frank works in the ish oil company in Cologne (shift work). We have two smaller children: Myles Llewellyn is 4 yrs old and his sister Myla Myfanwy is 2.5 yrs old. Our children are beeing raised bilingual. I am the part who speaks English with the children most of the day and so we need somebody who speaks reasonably good English to join me, but we will encourage and help you to improve your German as well. We are a caring and loving little family with meanwhile two georgeous children, a big old house and a large garden, a tiny shy black cat called "Bua" and a tall 2-year-old dog called "Tango" and there are lots of friends with even more children around. We would like you to be part of our family. You will mainly be asked to give me a hand in taking care of the children. We do not expect you to take sole care of the children, but help out when I have appointments. We are looking for a helpful, friendly and reliable girl – all the usual things and we wish you to speak quite good English. We would like you to help out with little housework like hoovering, cleaning the kitchen and picking up toys like all family members do.
