Au Pair/Nanny job description

About 25-45 hours per week (depending on school and sunner holiday breaks) playing with and interacting with 2 school aged girls, includes some morning time getting children off to school; some light housekeeping, cooking for children, homework assistance, after school driving (local driving). Valid driver's license is required. We will work only with AUPAIRCARE or CULTURAL CARE au pairs if you are not American.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Au Pair or Nanny: We are looking for a warm, fun, kind-hearted "big sister" for our daughters. You should like to play and do crafts and enjoy planning fun things to do. We are looking for someone who really loves children - and is not just looking for a different experience. Our 2 daughters are in school. We are looking for an au pair or nanny who can pick them up from the school (starting 3:45pm), give a snack, help with homework and play until we come home from work 7:00 and 7:30pm). Our nanny will need to take our daughters to their after local school activities and play dates and to host play dates at our house. Most important - our nanny must like to play and have fun! One of our daughters has ADD (attention deficit disorder - not really "special needs" but we need a flexible fun loving person as an au pair/nanny not a strict rule maker person). Our daughters blossom with fun happy people (we do not want overly strict just pleasant and firm). We are a lively and busy family and will do best with someone comfortable with being attentive to the girls and is out-going as well. We are located in Bucks County, PA, and close to the bus and train service to Philadelphia, NYC and DC. We are minutes from Bucks County Counity College and other local colleges and Newtown, PA. We have a fenced yard, with a large playset and deck. We sometimes (but not often) need nights or weekends. Usually those times will be your own. We would like babysitting for a weekly "date night". You should have a valid driver's license and be a confident driver. We will need some help with dinner prep (feeding the girls), light housekeeping (mainly tidying), homework, etc. We ask that you keep your room and bathroom clean (if you live in). We have 2 friendly indoor cats and 2 little fish. We have had au pairs for 3 years (Brazil, German and this year Sweden). We have enjoyed them very much. We are happy to share more family pictures (so you can see us from the front too!) while we are getting to know each other. We look forward to meeting you!
