Au Pair/Nanny job description

Mother needs a helper to maintain household and school schedule. We want our home to run lovingly smooth, without a lot of stress or chaos. Mother will still be in home and in charge of schooling, but will ask for assistance. Very willing to work with # of hours and able to provide private room. Salary can be compensated with providing place to live and all meals. Free time will be generous and encouraged, as well as time with family will be welcome. Our family wakes about 7 am and goes to sleep around 9-10 pm. Weekends are highly negotiable and can be freetime/personal time, with minor household chore check. Mother needs help in daily household/ school scheduling and checking up children for follow-through. Maintaining smooth consistency is important, but flexibility allowed as life requires. Help is needed with very precious and respectful children 11 year old girl in 5th grade, 13 year old son in 7th grade and 15 year old son in 9th grade.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We are a loving, happy, simple family. We love Jesus and live by God's Word, the Bible. We attend a local Southern Baptist Church but are Christian not baptist. Being a Christian is the core existance to our family and we live with a Biblical God-worldview. Anyone helping would need to support this goal. We want to help each other to be who we were created to be. We desire to be supportive and caring to all. We aim to have breakfast and personal care (light housework) 7-9am. We desire to have home school from 9-2, Monday-Friday. Afternoon activity is light and changes depending on children's involvement in sports, lessons, or clubs. We attend church 2-3 times a week. Our active involvement in church and Christian ministry/service is very important to us, but care of family members comes first. Two youngest children have a home school tutorial on Monday from 8-3. Oldest son does all of his school work at home. Children are expected to keep rooms clean and to assist with housework, even washing their own clothes. Boys cut grass. Mother has times of physical fatigue. Mother simply needs a come-along-side helper. She needs someone to assist her in keeping the homecare and homeschool running smoothly on days or times when she is exhausted. Mother simply gets exhausted with so much daily responsibility and wants a companion to support her in being a godly homemaker and raising up her children in a godly manner. We eat most of our meals at home. We enjoy cooking, but our meals are very simple, family-style and American Southern... easy to make. Mother does most cooking and we often have meals frozen that simply need to be cooked or heated (made ahead of time). We enjoy baking..d even like to make bread from grinding our own wheat. Mother has been too tired lately to do this, but son enjoying cooking also. We would love to bread make daily. We like to do activities together like playing a game, watching a movie, eating dinner, and simply spending time at home. We live on 1.6 acres of beautiful TN land and have a very simple two story home. We enjoy spending time outside, but not in the heat of the day. Sons like to play football, soccer, bike, skate and play video games. One son is a learning to play drums. Sons also enjoy sports with air-soft and paintball equipment. Daughter loves to sing, read, create stories and songs, and playing with friends.
