Child care: dropping-off and picking up the kids from day-care, caring for and playing with the kids, preparing dinner - keeping children's play areas, rooms and eating area clean and tidy. Light house keeping: Cooking dinner for the family, cleaning, laundry and ironing, grocery shopping.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Au Pair, If you are interested to come to Switzerland for a year or longer, experience the European culture, the fantastic skiing in the Alps, and explore Zürich and surroundings, this might be the opportunity for you. We are a Swedish family with two children living in Erlenbach, 20 minutes outside Zurich in Switzerland, near the Zürich lake, in a 6.5 room house with a garden. We are looking for live-in au pair, with experience in child-care, to help us with our 18 months-old daugther and 4 year-old son and the house-hold. Our current au-pair has just gone back home, but she would be available as our reference to provide more details about our family and the working conditions from the au-pair's perspective. We are looking for a flexible, positive, reliable and mature person who is interested in children and willing to do all types of work. Both children goes to day-care 3 days a week, and the are home with the parents the other two days a week. So the job is primarily about preparing dinner three days a week, picking up the kids from day-care and take care of them until the parents come home, plus helping out in the household with cleaning, laundry and ironing. We live in a modern house, with high standard, which is located in a calm neighbourhood close to the nature and the surroundings are serene. Switzerland is a small country in the middle of Europe, with lots of mountains and lakes. It is the perfect place for someone who likes skiing or other outdoor activities, but it has also a good nightlife, shopping and a very international community with many au-pairs and students from all over the world, who meet up regularly for different activities.
