| Au Pair's Message to Families |
| Dear Family, It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself to you. I am still learning English and I'm not so fluent, yet. My name is Tatyana and I'm 25 years old. I'm from Brazil. I love my country because our people are happy, outgoing and very nice to live with. I try to live life doing my best to everyone around me and. In my opinion, if you treat people around you well they will treat you back well too. I enjoy listening to and singing pop Brazilian songs, cooking and talking to friends. In fact I really appreciate a good talk and a nice friendship based on loyalty and confidence. Impolite people are not my favorite ones, for sure. I'm certain politeness is the best personal card everywhere. I consider myself responsible, dedicated to anything I do, quite organized and sociable, being respectful to anyone at any age. I'm good driver, my ex-boyfriend is a car dealer and I helped him when I lived in Brazil. I drive very well in the city and on the highway because we needed to travel a lot to bring and take cars. Please, I'm not being proud here, but I think it is important to say to you that I feel really comfortable when I drive. I have been raised by my parents in a loving, happy and tender way, but, at the same time, serious, straight, with a lot of respect. I find in my parents all the comfort, love and support I need. It is because of them and everything they taught me that I have become the woman I am. They have always believed my dreams and helped me reach my objectives to become someone happy and fulfilled. My sister and my parents live in another city 22-hour far from where I used to live. I had lived in Blumenau, a city in the south of Brazil. I came there seven years ago, in 2001, to do college. I studied Psychology and post graduation course in People Management. I started working six months before my graduation. For that reason, I decided to continue living there. Also, the quality of life in Blumenau is much better than in my hometown. I used to work as a Psychologist and coach for a corporate company that searches, trains and guides people to internship in many different areas. In the evenings I study, visit my friends, watch TV, read or surf the Internet. On the weekends I travel to other cities around. I love to travel and know new places. I used to go in Brazil on short trips to the beach or to a friend's farm where we can ride horses, go fishing and swimming, talk, rest and enjoy Nature with its beauty. I used to cook to my friends at weekends I really like doing it. The main reason why I have chosen to be an Au Pair is because I can join learning and developing in the English language, which I need, to living in a family environment. I think that sharing cultures with people from another country and living abroad is a unique experience to anyone. I have a lot of experience in child caring. When I came to Blumenau I met a girl in m classroom whose sister had a baby and I looked after him for 4 years. Every weekend I would go to her house and baby sit him. His name is Vitor and he is 6 years old now. It was a rewarding experience and I had only him to look after. He was very connected to me. In 2004, I started to work in a nursery school as a helper and talking care of kids are 7 to 10 year old. At the same time, I was invited to be the God mother to a cousin’s daughter. Her name is Livia and she is five years old. I had a boyfriend for almost 5 years. He is divorced and has a 9-year-old boy called Pedro. Three years ago Pedro came to Blumenau to live his father for two year and I had the opportunity to raise him with my ex-boyfriend. I talked to him about morality and love, helped with the homework, took and picked him up at school, prepared meals, helped him with his first readings, put him in the shower and in bed, took him to parks, the movies and shopping centers. We had a great time together but, unfortunately, he had to go back and live with his mother in Sao Paulo, BR. I would like to know a little from you all and especially from the kid (s) you have. Also, I would like to have an idea of your routines, habits, things you like and what you expect from me as an Au Pair. If possible, tell me about the opportunities I may have living in your family.
