Au Pair job description

We need a responsible and happy person to look after two children, a boy aged 12 and a girl aged 5. We also have a lovely golden retreiver dog who needs walking sometimes and loves attention! The job would entail playing, painting, helping with homework, reading, taking to the park, baths, some baby sitting. The children speak good english but need reinforcement. We value someone with good qualifications. You would have your own room with TV, internet access and bathroom, full board and a monthly salary. You would have the mornings off (from 9.30 until 3pm) to attend any language courses in Madrid.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

Dear Au Pair, We are a mixed english/spanish family, both parents are professional and go to work daily. We have two wonderful children and we are a happy and close family . Their ages are 12 and 5, a boy and a girl. We need someone responsible, sweet and happy - we do not like sad faces around! Both children go to school in the mornings and are back in the afternoon. Their day ends late as in Spain children go to bed at around 9 pm, but that is OK as it allows us to get back from work and spend time with them. We live in the outskirts of Madrid but the bus stop is 5 minute walk away and it takes 20 minutes to get into the centre of town. There is also a tube station nearby. Madrid is a fun and cosmopolitan city and the weather is great. We have a country home in northern Spain where we go on many weekends which is wonderful - walks, cycling and fresh air - you would be welcome to come with us. We are looking for a big sister to look after our two children. We look forward to hearing from you.
