Au Pair's Message to Families

I know that I won't be able to start as an au pair until july 2009, but I hope that is okay. The reason why I made the profile so early is that I think it is very important to built up trust between the family and myself, and the best way to do that, is by having contact with the family some time before I will be going to start as an au Pair. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! My name is Amanda, and i am 18 years old. I am a senior in high school, and will graduate next year (july 2009). I like going to school - but also think it would be nice to try something else, I have been in school for a lot of years now! I am very interested in visiting new contries, and I like experiencing new cultures. I live in Denmark with my parents, and I have 4 brothers, one who is older than me, and doesent live at home, and three who are younger and lives at home. I have been used to take care of some of them when they were small, the youngest are 10 and 4 years old now. I have also been a babysitter for other children. I like to cook, and have also attended a class in cooking twice. Some day I would like to be a journalist, but first I want to see the world and try some different things - amongst them is beeing an au pair. In my spare time i like to go bicycling, seeing my friends and hanging out with my family. I dont have a drives license yet, but I have just started taking a driving class. I expect to have the license just before christmas 2008. I would describe myself as an outgoing, fun, creative, active and smiling girl. Because my family is so big (we are 5 children) i would say that I am well prepared for an active family.
