Nanny job description

We're searching for a nanny who is creative and fun-loving and at the same time we firmly believe that structure, consistency and strong communication skills are necessary for well-adjusted, responsible and polite children. For the right nanny who has these qualifications, we offer a competitive salary along with a separate, private living area with a bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchenette. Natalie (7) is in the 2nd grade and Maggie (5) is in preschool weekday mornings. Nolan (3) is in preschool 3 mornings per week and requires normal toddler responsibilities when at home. Taking good care of the kids is our main concern but this position will involve some cleaning up after/with the kids, doing their laundry and some light housekeeping duties. Flexibility is important as some days could be 9AM to 4PM and others might be 7:30am to 6pm, depending on flights, activities or other work responsibilities of the parents.

Dear Prospective Nanny, We are a very extroverted, fun-loving and social family. Dad is 43, Mom is 39, Natalie 7, Maggie 5 and Nolan 3. Our family lives in the Fairwood area of Renton, WA (20 miles s. of Seattle). Our neighborhood is full of great families with lots of children. We have many parks and playgrounds within walking distance and the kids love to get out and about. Natalie is crazy, Maggie is bit more reserved, still trying to escape from Nat's shadow and Nolan is almost always smiling! We are hoping for someone who is outgoing, with a sense of humor but who also understands the benefit of a consistent schedule. We need someone very responsible and trustworthy.
