Au Pair/Nanny job description

We were thinking about a schedule some thing like this; 9:00 am to about 5:00 pm m-f ( watch, feed, change, entertain the kidos, and maybe run a load of wash, and pickup or clean as time permits. If you like to clean, you can do as much as you like, but we are not looking for Cinderella:-) PLEASE Note Currently we are only looking for some one that is already living in the US. IF your not currently living in the US, we can not hire you. Although we don't require that the applicant possess a drivers license or car ( as they will not be transporting the kids) IT would be best if they have both for their own convenience and transportation needs.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Some info about us and the Iowa City area. We are a stable family and my wife and I have been together since our freshman year of college. We tend to get along quite well and our family seems to get along well. Until the birth of the twins, Nancy (my wife) was my best friend, and now I have 3 best buddies. Nancy is a research scientist at the university of Iowa, and I'm self employed. We are for the most part very easy going. I'm the current cook and prepare the meals ( when we don't get take out). I can prepare a wide variety of different dishes and although I like spicy food, Nancy was raised on the bland Midwest food plan so, I have to tone down the meals for her, and even if you don't like spicy foods you should be ok. If you like to cook that could also be an option from time to time if it's some thing you enjoy. We live just out side of the Iowa City / Coralville area ( about 100k people) ( about 15 minutes to the U of I campus) and just across the road from the county's largest park ( FW Kent park about 1000 acres in size with a 28 acre lake.) You would have your own room with satellite TV/DVR/DVD and a computer for your use with high speed internet. The University of Iowa is in Iowa City ( Nancy works there ) And I think that they have about 30k students.
