Au Pair job description

Happy friendly Au Pair required to help take care of 7 year old girl and 4 year old boy. Countryside location, Co. Kildare (40 mins from Dublin). 35-40 hours/week. Both parents work outside the home. Duties include general help with care of children, getting them ready for school, bringing them to and from school, preparing their meals, help with homework, playing with them, taking them swimming, to the park, etc and light housework while children are at school. Preferable if Au Pair can drive.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

Dear Au Pair, We are looking for an outgoing, friendly girl to join our family to help look after our 2 precious children, Katie & Fionn. Katie is seven and Fionn is four. We live in the countryside in Kildare, 7km outside Enfield, Co. Meath (appr. 50 km from Dublin/40 minute drive). It is a lovely place to live, with lots of countryside walks, golf courses and equestrian centres nearby. There is an hourly bus service to and from Dublin from the local village. Katie is in her 4th year of school and attends from 9.30 til 15.00. Fionn goes to playschool from 9.30 til 12.00, 5 days a week. Katie and Fionn are both generally very well-behaved, happy and outgoing children. They are great fun and love playing outdoors, cycling their bikes, playing on the trampoline, going for walks, visiting the horses and running around. We would like an au pair to join our family to help take care of the children, particularly on the days we are both working, and 2 evenings babysitting. As I only work 3 days a week you would only need to work 3-4 days during the week, and would be free each weekend. Your duties would include help getting the children ready for school, taking them to and from school, playing with them, baking, arts and crafts, helping Katie with homework if I'm not home, cooking their meals and doing light housework while they are at school. We have converted our garage into a bedroom, bathroom and small sitting room, so you would have your own space and privacy. There is a tv, dvd and cd player in your room. You would also have use of our internet and phone. We would be happy to accomadate you to go to English classes and to get out and meet friends. If you have a full clean driving license we would insure you on ta car so you could take the children to school, swimming, to the park, etc. We are looking for somebody who will fit in well as part of our family.
