Au Pair's Message to Families

Hello Family! My name is Raphaela and I am 20 years old. I live in a small town close to Cologne, Germany. Last year I made my A-Level and at the moment, I am working in a Kindergarten as a trainee. It is so much fun for me to spend my time with the kids. We always make great things and laugh a lot. This is another reason why I want to spend my year as an au pair. Looking after children is what makes me happy. In addition to that, I am fascinated by American culture and want to be a part of it. The American people seem so nice and friendly and I am sure you are too! It would be a pleasure to assist you and do many great things. I like to care for children because it is so nice to see how they develop and grow up. They have such a carefree happiness. An enjoyable experience in the kindergarten was when I could cure a girl from crying or I could teach a little boy how to say something. I love teaching children! I have also worked with special needs children which has been a joy. In my free time, I like to dance, skate, swim, do aerobics, and spend time with my family and friends.
