Au Pair job description

A typical day will look like this: 9-11am play with our 2 & 4 yr olds. 12-2: 2 yr old naps. make lunch & Play with 4yr old. 2-4: play with 2 & 4yr old 4-5 prep/make dinner Most of the time one parent will be at home except to drop off/pick up kids from school and or sports. This schedule will change slightly when our twins are born in March. Then additional responsibility will be added to include watching one or both during the day so mom can rest if needed. It is difficult to know exactly what will be needed then because there are some unknowns. For example: a C-section will require more help initially. However, at no time will you be responsible for all five children.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

We like to have Fun!! As a family we love swimming at the pool, exploring the forest, reading books and playing cards. Stephanie loves taking pictures and practicing yoga. Neil enjoys playing guitar and roller blading. Jack, who is 6 years old creates masterpieces with Legos, sprouts fins once he enters the pool and would ride his bike into bed if he could! Alex is a bright 4 year old who loves books and catching bugs in the creek out by our house. Nate, who is 2, is a climber...he views the world as his ladder. We eagerly await the arrival of 2 more in March. We are excited to see how Jack, Alex and Nate rediscover the world with the arrival of the twins. We are looking for someone who is easy going and fun. What we need is an extra set of hands to support us in our role as parents. We are not looking to turn over our children completely. We enjoy them immensely, but realize that with newborn twins we will need a little more help. We will provide you with your own furnished bedroom and bathroom, and internet access . We want you to make this your home and become a part of our family!
