| Dear Host Family,
My name is Paveena with a nickname “Gee”. I come from a family of 4 people. My parents are separate but they have a good relationship and work in the same company. I have 1 elder brother who already marries and has 1 daughter named “O-por”. My mother, brother’s family, and I live together at grandfather’s house. I have one Saint Bernard dog called “Babe”. He is my good friend. I prepare food for him and take him to the park in the evening. I wash him twice a week. When I stay with my father, I prepare meals for him.
After high school; I further studied library and information science degree at Khon Kaen University. It was my first chance to stay away from home and I did adjust and took care of myself for being alone pretty well.
At a university, I had a good time with my friends. We had trips and camps on a high mountain 3 times. I was a member of library club. I helped raise fund to help the faculty library by holding a book fair. I also helped organize books in the shelf at the university library.
After graduation, I worked at a university library of science for 1 year to organize the library system. Then I worked as a coordinator at the export company. This position gave me a chance to participate in the trade fair in Shanghai and Hong Kong and a lot of opportunities to communicate in English.
Joining the international trade fair, made me eager to enhance my English skill. As a result, I quitted my job and went to study English language in New Zealand for 4 months. After coming back to Thailand, I worked as a receptionist at the service apartment and decided to join an au pair program.
I joined goAUPAIR because I am happy to stay with children. When I am home, I always play with my niece. I helped my sister in-law take care my niece after work when she was 3 months. I sometimes change her diaper 2-3 times at night. I played with her everyday since she just came back from the hospital until now she is 2 years old. I would also like to gain more experience and travel in America.
My formal childcare experience is with 3 children from aged 18 months old to 4 and 5 years old from the family in Nantucket Island. I was responsible for giving them some milk or food, changing their diaper, playing with them, and cleaning and bathing them. I also stay with children, never leave them alone, and watch out to protect accidents from happening. I 'm caring about hygiene for children and always teach children to watch their hands before eating.
I like painting and listening to music. My painting work is quite good. I love to read children literature. I like to read a new recipe and try to make it. I also enjoy baking and playing table tennis and badminton.
